studied the earliest documents from England’s Civil Wars (c.1640-51) and their aftermath in the 1650s and 1660s,
learnt from peace veterans in Australia, the UK, the United States and South Africa,
authored The Growth and Development of Quaker Testimony, 1652-61 and 1960-94.
